Classical JP
The term Classical Japanese refers to over 1000 years of language developement with focus on the works that were written in it. The basis for this language is the language of Heian period, when the language and its literature flourished. Therefore most of the works I'll be referencing will be from this exact period, while some works from other periods will be included as well. Starting from periodization and introduction of the classic literature, this page will go through pretty much everything you need to get started on reading Classical Japanese works. Make sure to take everything with a grain of salt, old language and its developement is a tough thing. Let's see how things will work out.
